It is important to us at Padron Dental to provide our patients with the best dental experience we can. This is why we keep up to date on the latest dental technologies and techniques: to ensure that your treatment is not only effective, but comfortable as well.
Lasers have a variety of uses in dentistry. They can reduce the discomfort of sores, expose partially erupted wisdom teeth, manage gum tissue during impressions for crowns or other dental appliances, remove or reshape gum and bone tissue during crown lengthening procedures, perform biopsy procedures, and speed up tooth whitening procedures, as well as others. There are many advantages to using a laser: they are more precise, can provide a more relaxed dental experience, can reduce symptoms and healing times of certain dental procedures, control bleeding during surgery, and reduce the number of bacteria in both diseased gum tissue and tooth cavities.
3D Cone Beam Scanner
Cone beam imaging is a diagnostic imaging technology that uses radiation to take cone beam images which are converted into a three-dimensional view. These 3D views can then be manipulated by computer software for orthodontic, implant, or diagnostic purposes, and more. The images provide valuable information that the previous two-dimensional imaging could not, thus improving our ability to diagnose and treat our patients.
Dental x-rays are used to find such potential problems as abscesses or cysts, bone loss, decay between teeth, or developmental abnormalities. Unlike traditional x-rays, digital x-rays use less radiation and provide images with higher accuracy. The digital images also have the advantage of being able to be stored digitally and easily accessible.
